Botox in the treatment of headaches:
(Coming soon!)
Patients with transformed migraine have lower pain tolerance:
Some studies have revealed that patients with transformed
migraines (more than 15 days/month) are more sensitive to pain than patients
with episodic migraines. This may explain why some of these patients seem
to have less responsiveness to the usual migraine medications( sumatriptan for
example). One study was presented by Dr. Kitsaj at the American Academy
of Neurology Annual Meeting in 2004 . More studies are needed to better
understand this phenomenon and its implications in headache management
